That's impressive and I understand what you mean by having to walk up certain sections. Before I got back into motorcycling, mountain biking was a hobby/band-aid. I was younger, fit and thinnner. I keep telling myself to throw a leg over the bicycle again and get back into some kind of shape but the motorcycle always wins. :) Enjoy

my wife’s half Yamaha. In beautiful matt-black. Since it’s all flat here no need for a moantainbike. 8-speed and like DM’s multiple settings for the electric support.

That's awesome! Flat sounds really nice, too.

I'm convinced we did the right thing getting her the mountain bike with full suspension. After working in the yard Saturday I grabbed her bike and just messed around in the front of the property. We have a small walking trail out front, and everything is on a slope. I was riding up hill on the trail at a good clip and coming back around from behind one of the garages flying down hill crossing over pavement, grass, and dirt in my little loop. Suspension was necessary. It was a hoot. Ended up putting a mile on the bike in just a couple of minutes and it was something that would have been miserable on the regular bike. DM felt obligated to scold me for not wearing a helmet...yes, dear. Came away thinking this is a really nice bike.

I picked up a Yamaha PAS Brace on sale last year. Haven't ridden it much, think I will derestrict it because the way assist fizzles out as the speed climbs is a bit annoying given its fairly hefty 50 lb weight.
