Yeah, that was the vibe I got with it..... 1st time on one of those gigs. It was a low key gig and Im ok with that. The loops, though.... Wasnt nearly what I had hoped for driving 3 hrs. Way too much fire roads and street even on "hard loops" charts. 2nd day was better, but still more of a scenic loop kinda stuff. Especially bringing my plated 300 to rip. Easy stuff and gas stops were pretty close to where he advised. Gas wasnt an issue with the 3.3 and Lectron never tapped reserve (but had an extra gallon in case).

I signed up cuz a coworker hit me up. The dude later bailed on it and i had already paid, reserved everything and taken the time off (and mama knew I was gonna be gone). Alot of weirdos up there too. One section that was a clone of Cougar Buttes was loaded with weirdos living back there (not campers, riders, or the like) it was like a "Hills have eyes convention" rolling through on my noisy 2 stroke.... Strange to say the least..... I didnt snap pics of the weirdness on the other side.

Glad you had a good ride out of it. Don't get me wrong, Jerry has a huge following of riders from District 37. I'm just not one of them. The ride some years back was cut short due to having to call in an airlift for a fellow rider. Jerry cleverly words and organizes his rides to bypass BLM rules. I would not mind so much except Jerry is no help whatsoever if anything happens. He just disappears.

The BLM showed up and told me Jerry got no permits for the ride. My drivers license was snatched up and the ride was ended for everyone. I have the utmost respect for the BLM officers. After nerves were settled he gave me his card and worked with the fire department to not only recover the bike, but helped me navigate the shortest ride back to the hotel without having to fuel.

I was fortunate enough to have the Fire Department ground crew transport his bike for me to the hotel we were staying at. Jerry was nowhere to be found to get the mans contact info. I was able to get it myself off the mans cell phone and call his family to pick up his bike. He suffered a punctured lung and ruptured spleen and almost died.

BTW, I really like the plated 300!! I thought about doing it to mine but decided my 4T beta is good enough. Your Six Days looks really well setup!! With the pandemic going on the desert is full of people living off the grid. Social media and YouTube has destroyed a lot of the good riding. Good news is for guys like us we can take our bikes in areas that cannot be navigated unless you are a seasoned rider that knows how to ride hard core single track.

Im not planning on doing another one. It wasnt what I enjoy. But I get it, never know who shows up and have to errr on caution. Just more of a scenic tour kinda gig.

Man that sucks. Glad the guy made out ok. Cool of you to help get his bike out.

Its been a great bike. Debate on a new TPI, but it works so well for me. Till they get the TPI dialed Ill keep putting mod money into this one. Only plated to run the non ohv trails and into town gas runs / lunch. Fortunately I had 14/50 gearing on that ride otherwise itd of sucked with all the road spots.

Be warned of the inreach I had one for 5 days and it took a dump day 3 into mainland Mexico. Call customer service they said it is a unicorn if a 2nd fails. It's ok for them to say that if there life is not in jeopardy. From advice from a member here, they have been made in China for years. The construction is not what it use to be unless its marine. Talked to another rider and they had a friend that was suing them because customer stated that they never placed a emergency message with there inreach.
I hear you. Been running mine for months in all types of places. I seem to have a solid one so far?
