Was my ECU flashed?

Is there a simple way to tell if my ECU was flashed by a previous owner? I've read on here about the benefits of the flash and the ride characteristics that change... and therein lies the issue.
I don't experience much in the way of engine braking and I don't really have jerky/twitchy throttle response in the low range. Could it be smoother? Maybe.
Maybe I'm just used to it and have different expectations? I mean, I road Ducatis for years and if you want to know engine braking, ride a Monster. Release the throttle and it will mash your junk into the fuel tank if you're not careful. My 848's throttle was "super responsive" to say the least and it would snap the front wheel off the ground in a flash if you didn't roll on carefully. So maybe it's me and my expectations? The S10 is a dream to ride, for the most part.
So why ask about the flash if I don't mind the ride characteristics? Because I would love to squeeze out more mpg if possible and, if the ride characteristics really are that much smoother, then maybe I'm missing out on something that I never knew I was missing.
So, any ideas on how to check if it's been flashed?

. . . . So, any ideas on how to check if it's been flashed?
1) At about 5k in first gear, shut the throttle off. If you don't feel the engine braking, it's likely been flashed. Your Ducati experience could impact the feeling.
2) Find somebody that is positive theirs hasn't been flashed, and ride theirs. Make sure they're the same generation.
3) I haven't heard anything about the flash impacting mpgs. I would think the only way for that to happen, is that the flash makes you alter your riding style; more/less throttle.
4) If it ain't broke, don't fix it is screaming in my little pea brain. If you like the way she rides, don't change her. It might cause a divorce. :D

Tuners invariably disable the O2 sensors when they flash the ecu, so check if they’re unplugged (follow the 2 wires from the sensors to the plugs above and above right of the battery). If they’re unplugged it’s probably been remapped. If they’re still connected, unplug them and ride the bike - if there is no difference in how it rides (and no error code on the dash), it’s probably been remapped. Another tell tale sign is if your fan comes on at 212 degrees or so (rather than 221), it will have been remapped.

I had mine flashed but also dyno tuned and my mileage got better, went from about 5.1 l/100km to about 4.7 l/100km or 46 mpg to 50mpg. No other changes or mods were made. I never had the same amount of heat coming off the bike after, not that it was bad before but it was totally unnoticeable after.

Maybe the smoother throttle changed you shift rpm? The flash just tames the throttle down by changing the speed of fuel delivery, not any HP change. Of course, this just what I've read, since my ECU is still a virgin.

I don't think I have changed but if anything I am more aggressive. I do have a before and after from the dyno and there was a 4 hp gain but again the might have been to the tuning.
