I am looking for for oem handlebars for a 2nd gen super tenrere. I am in the Austin Tx area, I would prefer to be able to pickup and don't mind traveling within a few hundred miles of needed. I currently have aftermarket protaper bars that came on the bike, and I can't seem to get comfortable with them. I am thinking I would like a little more sweep, and hopefully stock bars would be a cheapish way to try it.

I don't know the difference. I have a set off a 2012.
It looks like their is a few differences in them, I believe they went from steel to aluminum and they came further back on the 2nd gens. I’m not sure about how it would work trying to transfer bar end weights and stuff over to them. What would you want for them?

If you want to make a trip to northeast Texas, you can have them. If you can wait a few weeks, I'll be going to Luckenbach to deliver a holster and I can meet you along the way.

I know that the various riser kits for ST bars are different from Gen 1 to Gen 2 and are not interchangeable, so you may have some fitment problems in that regard at the steering head. Just something to consider.

I appreciate that offer, I think AusTexS10 is probably right about the differences though and it may not be worth trying to make it work. I went ahead and ordered the Protaper Adventure High bars that everyone seems to recommend, Amazon had a pretty good deal on an open box return.

Well I am back on the search for some stock handlebars. I have some Protaper Contour raptor bend bars I’d be willing to trade for stock bars. These Protaper bars are very similar in dimensions to the Protaper Adventure bars, and fall midway between the height of the standard adventure bars and the high bars.
