Hiya Boris. My Super tenere is a 1019 model.i have purchased this genuine Yamaha spacer kit. Also the givi PL2119CAM-KL2119CAM rack from sportsbikeshop.to fit the givi trekker panniers I have purchased. The bolts are 10mm to short at mounting holes nearest the rear of bike.and the supporting bar near the tyre is 20mm short of lining up.So a bit puzzled whether it is the spacers or rack which is wrong.ang ideas.
hi,

can i ask just checked mine the frame that mounts to the rear passenger foot hangers are you mounting to the top of the 2 holes on that hanger not the bottom one of the 2 as there is a top hole on the back of the hanger

looking at my pl2119cam rack the only spacers i can see are the ones that come with the kit to fill the holes in the grab rail

Hiya rob. Thanks for getting in touch.I connected the arm to the footrest where my finger is on the photo both sides.exhaust side has an allen bolt which has to be replaced by the bolt in the givi kit.the corresponding near side footrest side hanger has no bolt in it.just a thread for the bolt to mount.Sounds like the Yamaha kit i got is at fault.Need to measure the width of the grab handle and givi spacer for each mounting point.then purchased anodized black spacers from ebay.then the rear supporting bar will line up.

If anyone has this givi 2119 cam rack fitted to their bike with or with out grab handles. My 2019 model does not have grab handles.I need to know what the distance is from the threaded sub frame on the bike to the flat bar of the givi rack when everything is tightened up.The rear mount measurement will be different to the front mount.Just need a measurement for both.then I can order the correct 4 spacers.A vernier or metalwork ruler like this would be best for measuring the distance.

right the front if this helps the tape measure is touching the inner silver plastic where the front part of the grab handle goes thats 27mm
now the back part the tape measure is touching the black plastic of the rear light cover close to the hole and is 30mm now as you have nothing on that section, you should be able to work out how much longer the front needs to be and back

I have a Gen1 bike, without grab handles. The Yamaha spacer kit replicates the depth of the grab rails, when adding the OEM pannier rails. Surely if the Givi set up works with the grab rails, it’d work with the spacers?

Difficult for me to advise, as I only have the standard fit rails, with the spacers.

agree,
its hard to comment, i have grab rails so the givi 4 spacers is all you need and how different are the yamaha rails to givi

When the yamaha spacer kit is used the front spacers allow the givi bolts to screw in 20mm of the bolt.Where as the longer spacer at the rear. The givi bolt goes in only two turns. The Yamaha spacers are clearly not for the givi rack.(with no grab handles)If no one comes back to me with accurate distances by the weekend.i will bolt up the rear frame and footrest mounts.then put the long bolts through the small givi spacers plus some nuts and washers until I'm happy with the fit.take the measurements and order the spacers off ebay.

can,t you just buy 2 longer bolts then if front 2 are ok add what you need to get the other 2 in properly and just buy 2 bolts

Once the 4 bolts to the sub frame of the bike are tight using the yamaha spacers.the rear supporting bar is 20mm short of being bolted up.So the spacers are the wrong length.mainly the spacers at the rear.

The photos you sent me rob with your tape measure look like front spacers of 30mm and rear spacers of 35mm.The rear spacers in this Yamaha kit are 50mm.So it's no wonder that the rear supporting bar is so far from fitting.Im going to Carmarthen to a campsite I use on thursday 18th for 2 nights and collecting two givi trekker panniers down there.which is why I'm putting the pannier racks on.

I have the Givi PLR2119 rack, (I have Trekker Dolomiti cases) on my Gen 2 bike with no grab handles. I needed spacers, so I bought 20 stainless steel thick washers from eBay. My intention was to get stainless steel spacers turned but you can really see the washers and they don’t rust, so….!
I have just checked and I have 5 thick spacers on each mounting point, so you need 20 washers. Now I know this isn’t very helpful, but I can’t remember the OD of the bolts and I think the washers are 3mm thick.
