Since you mentioned ROK straps I will have to say I’ve been using them since 2007 and they definitely work excellent and a little safer than most other strap systems.
They are amazing. And remember, they come with an amazing guarantee. I watched ROK at the rally replace 9-year-old straps where the outer casing had frayed, but they still worked perfectly. The guy who had the straps walked up to the booth to show how amazing the straps were after 9 years, and they just handed him some new ones and said they didn't want natty looking straps out there!

A one-minute video of the ADV1 on HWY 242 between Sisters and McKenzie Bridge, Oregon, USA. My wife and I shot these using our cellphones and it was edited using iMovie (free on Macs). Nothing fancy...we're spending money on engineers and machinists, not videographers and professional editors!

How much for heavens sake???
Hello SpudBob,

The ADV1 will be around $6500. We don't have our completed bill of materials yet, and we are in conversations with some of our main suppliers, so we don't have an exact number yet, but we will soon. It will be on the website as soon as we have a fixed number.

Thank you!

Yah I didn't pay too much more than that for my bike. Ill wait for the chinese knock off! JK!!!
OUCH!

We definitely know we aren't going to be a fit for everyone. And we do expect there will be copies of our design. We've done the hard work of 2.5 years of R&D and spent a lot of money, but figured out how to make a single wheel ADV trailer that actually works. We have patents pending for some of the key pieces, but everyone knows that doesn't really protect all that much.

And just to be transparent...I personally did pay less than $6500 for my 2012 S10. People way under value these bikes because they have 30k on them (just breaking in!). Also I bought it before the pandemic, when prices started to spike.

You design is very nice and looks well thought out but the SherpaX is 1/5 the price. I realize that R&D is not free but......

Yep, the SherpaX is a good trailer! All designs and products have advantages and disadvantages—this is true of both the SherpX and the ADV1. SherpX has the huge advantage of having product! We're still working on finalizing our design, we're going to solicit some beta testers and give them time to test...we won't be in production for at least 4 or 5 months. No matter what you're pulling behind you, I hope you get out there on your Super10 and have a great time!
