Hi, how the tire thread is? , wouldn't you have kind of tire cupping?? I noticed in my bike to have tire cupping in the front tire due to a very soft front end and when riding I was able to fill it in the handle bar. Just a suggestion!!

If you have normal, run of the mill cupping, it likely due to underinflation. If the tire is inflated to the correct psi, and you still have cupping, it's probably from hard braking. All of my bikes have "cupped". Between the bikes being heavy, me being heavy, and me liking to use my front brake(s). . . . a lot. . . . it's a given. I've used higher than spec'd tire pressures, but it doesn't seem to help. And, since it really doesn't effect the bike's handling. . . . I don't worry about it.

Old thread but I just lost some weights on my tires and can't get in for a couple of weeks so thought I would try these. How much did you use on the Tenere and do you still like them.
I have cut the recommended amount in half.
I usually run 1/2-ounce in the front tire and 1-ounce in the rear tire.
I still use the "Counteract" balance-beads

I thought is was due to soft front suspension, I do have 35 psi in front I might increase 3 or 4 psi more. Regarding front hard braking I think I do combine fr and rr, but I will be looking in to it. I noticed that makes more noise than normal when cupping, but you say that it does not affect handling I will question because there is not a clean contact in the tire pattern.
Thanks Sierra!!!

Depending on the bike, and the tire, I have felt the cupping. It's always been at the slower speeds. Sometimes I feel it with my hands on the bars, sometimes I have to take my hands of the bars, and the front end starts to "wiggle". It's never effected my cornering, since it mainly down the center of the tire. I've also never noticed it impairing the ability to stop quickly either.

Don't google "cupping" and "front end wiggle" if you are easily shocked....
