Well, you're a better man than I am, but we all pretty well knew that already. ::015:: And when you say "due to crashing last night right after my post", we hope you're referring to beddy bye. Keep us posted. R

Yea, when he said he crashed last night, I was thinking bummer!

Then I realized it's the other kind of crash.

10 months now what about the HT setup? :-\
Well, since you ask, here goes...

Mounted the boxes, went for a ride, and they fell apart - every panel separated, there were sparks everywhere and my only clue anything happened was my MPG shot up from the reduced wind resistance...

KIDDING!

They remain as rock solid as the day I installed them. Tough enough to ward off everyday use, so rock chips, etc simply don't happen.

They hold a TON of junk, obviously, they are water resistant - I've ridden dozens of time in everything from mist to downpours - narry a drop inside - which my computer appreciates.

Top box is bolted directly tot he mounting rack in my case, so non-removable - again, rock solid.

Been on long road trips and offroad, over everything from dirt roads, potholes, rocky river crossings, rock ledges, etc. Solid.

I've noticed lately the stickers are staring to peel slightly around the edges, but no biggie - I get the feeling the sticky used on the stickers is super sticky, so they won't peel completely off, ensuring the retro-reflective work they do continues. ;)

Locks remain in excellent working order, lock covers remain perfect and work well to protect form the weather.

I am 100% totally pleased with these panniers all this time later. :)

Lol, She'll go anywhere and camp with me too. Even cook a proper breakfast. Only requirement is air mattress in the tent, and a hot cup of coffee to sip on before climbing out from under the covers.

I'm happy to oblige. Nothing beats laying in that tent, laughing about the crazy stuff we tried that day, listening to mountain rain drops popping off the fly, and texting the kids letting them know they aren't having near as much fun as their old fogie mom n dad.

It really is quite a bike. Best one I know of at doing what we do with it.
Just curious of which model of HT panniers did you get and what is the capacity? Oh and, width of the bags on the bike.

The top where the seal is takes up some space. So the opening is narrower on top that inside the box if that makes sense. The Cliff Cut gives you a wider opening at the top, but keeps the width slimmer overall. I went with the standard Teton boxes and so far are happy. I can tell you that they can handle the weight of the bike and hold their shape. They have been tipped over multiple times and have held up wonderful for me.

The racks might be a bit more "bulky" than other brands, but they are stout. Great protection for me.
