Full disclosure: I watched about 20 seconds of this video. Its dealing with something WAY above my skill level.
So I recently bought an S10 with about 35 000 miles on it and I hear thats around the time to have the valves done. The previous owner took EXCEPTIONAL care of her so I suspect he/she has already done this but: How can I tell if they've been checked/adjusted without taking it to the shop and spending the +- $500. I was recently informed there is no carfax equivalent for motorcycles so there is no service record floating out there on some database.
Valve clearance inspection was at 24,000 miles, and there is no way to know if it was done except having access to the maintenance records. Check with the previous owner or servicing dealer to see if there are any records.
I'll try and see if the dealer will give me their contact details. Would be good to know more about the bikes history.
Are there any symptoms the bike would show if the valves hadn't been adjusted?
