It is looking like mid-sized Adventure bikes are the New BigThing and not a moment too soon either! What engine does the Suzuki have, is it still a Vee?

I cant imagine the people these bikes are aimed at pulling the wheels off to fix a flat on the trail. Why they dont put cast wheels on is beyond me as they are ok for doing the type of terrain they would go on. Great to see Suzuki and Honda developing a parralel twin but neither would appeal to me. Do they not get it that when your away from main roads and a phone signal fancy electronics wont easily fix a flat.

The single fact that they are a tubed rim is enough for me not to be interested. These bikes are too fat and heavy to even consider dirt bike category and rigors.
For what it is intended to do its a step backwards, tube tires on tarmac run hotter, wear quicker, they plainly suck.
Suzuki engineers designed a confused V-Strom.

My opinion might be bias though. I use to be a Suzuki fan but not so much anymore. I found that they are NON innovative and more of a fallow the crowd type, though quality is ok for its price range in Japanese bikes.
Yamaha and Honda are the only Japanese manufactures that lead in innovation IMO.

Does any manufactuer offer a 21" tubeless alloy wheel? That BMW 750 GS above looks like a 19"

My friend has a tubeless 21” front wheel as standard on his new Aprilia 660 Toureg. I’m sure there are others.

My upcoming 890 R will have a tubeless 21" front. Alloy...probably not. Unless steel counts as alloy.

I can't say I've seen a 21" cast front wheel on anything but a Harley or chopper but plenty of bikes have 21" tubeless wheels.

Like Yamaha did back in 2002....
Suzuki introduced the VStrom 1000 & it was a hit....but where was the US without the new TDM900. Yammy missed the boat.

Confused...& confounded...since 2020
Suzuki lost me when they put that goofy front mounted windshield adjuster on the Strom 1050! Get off the bike to adj shield for your (riding) position??
& what was the deal deleting content on base models compared to the 2018-19 1000s? Cruise only avail with spoked rims?
Seems kinda counter to the intended purpose of each model 1000=
Base= 17/19" mag wheels= street/tour
NO CRUISE?
XT= 17/19 tubeless spokes= backroad/trail
CRUISE!
The new 2023 1050 finally corrected this...but at a price...$$$
Lets see how long it takes for Suzy to fix the 800
