I'll just start a ride report because I have so many pictures of this trip.
This is the original thread. https://www.yamahasupertenere.com/index.php?threads/s-a-d-camping-update-utah-5-19-5-25-or-26-2020.28284/#post-406990

I'll try to only put up about 4 pictures in a post so I can keep better track of them.

I rode down to Tim's early Monday morning so we could hit the road about 6:00 AM.
We were meeting up with Mark Tuesday evening at Muley Point, Utah.
I always try to tell guys that I'll be riding with to "PACK LIGHT!"
It takes practice to get your pack down to a off road ridable load.

Tim needs more practice.

We camped for free the first night out in Eastern Colorado.

Rode up the Moki Dugway on the way to Muley Point.

We had to camp in the trees because the wind was really strong coming up over Muley Point.

The next morning we went down the Moki Dugway and got on the Johns Canyon road that goes right under the Moley Point.
Great riding!

Tim's load fell off and didn't notice, and Mark picked it up

After we went down this Tim dropped his bike and wanted to turn around. This is about as far as we went on Johns Canyon road.

That night we camped at Star Springs. [I think, is that right Mark?]

Next day we head for the Burr Trail.

Someone had been living back in here.

Time for some great riding!
We went off the Burr Trail onto the Wolverine Loop then off the south end of that onto a trail .
All the trails in the area are not on my maps. Mark probably knows but I think we got off on a trail called Moody Canyon road.

We rode Hells Backbone and off that road to a lake.

We parted with Mark after lunch and Tim and I headed for Colorado.
We seen our first other Super Tenere soon going through Capital Reef N.P.A black 16 it looked like. Then another one in Moab, A yellow one then the next day another yellow one on the Million $ highway.

That night we slept on picnic tables in Bedrock,Colorado.

North side of the Black Canyon.

In Crawford, Colorado we rode past some girls waving signs for their lemonade stand. I stopped and told Tim "we have to go back"
It turned out that we was their first customers . Tim was so glad we stopped and I told him a story that I'm not proud of.
One time my boy Eric and I was riding dirt bikes in the mountains of Colorado and way back on some jeep trail was a cabin with two little girls at their lemonade stand. We was probably the only ones to ride past that day." We did not stop". That still haunts me to this day.
Please never pass up a lemonade stand. It may just haunt you for the rest of your life.

We camped up on McClure Pass.

Snowing on us in Leadville.

Midland Tunnels.

Skyline drive. Canyon City.

And our last night was in Kansas at a city park, Free with showers.

Thanks for reading or mostly just looking at pictures.
Mark and Tim feel free to post pictures.

Really awesome pictures
I'm making my first motorcycle trip to Colorado this August. Really looking forward to it.
BTW, where was the city park in Kansas?
I need to camp in central Kansas 1 night going and 1 night coming home.

that is a great trip. It is really nice when people share those kinds of rides. I enjoy every one i get to see. I suck at documenting things when i am riding. I usually don't pay much attention to names of places or just don't have a clue as to what the names are.
