Europe .... Made in Texas
We have 46 of you telling us what type of bike you had prior to going for the Tenere.

We have 76 of you telling us what colour you've chosen for your Tenere. Does this assume as ordered.

Many have ordered .... to date very few have completed the 'Best Price' matrix.

Well, one thing I know is that there is no point me adding price information given that I bought the bike in Sweden. I can't believe the prices these bikes are going for in the U.S!

I paid 139,900 SEK (149,900-10,000) for a 2010 ex-demo with 160km on the clock, 40 of those 160km were my own test ride. That's almost $20,000 USD at today's exchange rate, but does include all fees, a whopping 25% sales tax and a First Edition with engine bash-plate, headlamp protector, rear pannier mounting kit and panniers..

Where I did seem to do quite well was for my 2007 DL650 trade-in. I got 58,000 SEK which is $8300. This is more than what I paid for the bike new plus most of the upgrades I did when I bought it in Dallas, TX in 2006!

The 2011 Super Teneres with plastic bash-plate, without headlamp protector and without side-cases are pre-bookable in Sweden and selling for 147,900 SEK ($21100)!

In the Uk the list price is still £13'500, were now waiting to see that prices of non first edition models for 2011, we have a 2.5% VAT increase next month as well, hopefully this time next month I should know more and be able to place my order.

To answer your questions Swagger that's why I have not ordered yet. :)

Ha ha. I haven't heard the term COLA for some years. This discussion about margins is a tough one when you look at the entire population and also when looking at COL from birth to death. All I can say is that I will be sticking with this bike for the next 10 years.

Seriously at these prices in the US I could pay someone there to buy it, reg and insure it, drive it for 6 months, import it to Sweden and sell it a year later and probably get my money back if not make a little cut.
