Hi US-based guys and gals.

I'm planning on travelling to the US this year and next year and am interested in buying a used (i.e. already run in) US bike to keep there.

I'm after a couple of links to where you source used bikes within the USA.

I realise there's ebay, plus I've found www.cycletrader.com and now www.traderonline.com

Any sites where I should look or particularly NOT look to buy a US bike?

Thanks

The for sale section of ADVRider has a large number of bikes, and rather better advertisements than you find at cycletrader or craigslist - the sellers are smarter. Which may preclude finding the super awesome deal from someone who knows not what they have - but if you're flying in and want a bike that you already know what you are getting, rather than having to visit the seller and hope, that's probably an easier place to shop.

Thats cool having a bike in the US.Just curious as to what state you plan on registering it in and storing it in? Other than that all of these websites are decent enough for buying a used bike. There are also dealers that if you keep tabs on them may have a decent trade in and that dealer is moving it quick. Example is a 2011 KTM 990 ADV that was traded to BMW Riverside(Ca) that had a 1000 miles, equiped nicely with Jesse Luggae, crash bar, skid plate, and a few other accesories for $13800. That to me waqs a smoking deal as those bikes new here are approximately that much without any extras. The Super Ten is starting to appear in spots as used now obviously.
