Just purchased a “new to me” 2012 Black ST that had 5700 miles and was super clean. First adventure bike ever and first street bike since I was a teenager… I’ve been strictly dirt for the last 20 ish years. Ride everyday I can (knee surgery slowed that a hot minute). Unfortunately, not all of the accessories are labeled and I can’t find good pictures of the OEM racks.

Can someone help me identify which racks these are?
Or more specifically, which side boxes will fit?
…and of those that fit, which are recommended?

Welcome from Texas, you're gonna love the bike. Personally, I'm betting that those are home made for soft luggage. It looks like rebar. I can tell you for certain, those are not OE. I'll try to find some pics. OE mounts are all but invisible.

. . . . Unfortunately, not all of the accessories are labeled and I can’t find good pictures of the OEM racks. . . .
Here is the entire mounting kit. The bars on top, mount close to the OE grabrails. And, the two brackets on the lower right, fit down by the passenger pegs. Like I said, all but invisible. The down side is that if you are going to use boxes a lot, the OE are not what you'll want. The boxes themselves are ok, but the locks suck. Everybody here has their favorite bags/boxes. Your mounts should work well with soft bags. Everybody will be chiming in with their recommendations. I went OE because they "good enough" for what I need, and I don't have a big ass frame when I'm not using them.

The horizontal bar that crosses the handguard, and that little rubber tab to the right of the passenger peg are all that you see of the OE box frame.

I had the same thoughts about the rebar… but if they were ”home made” it was by someone that was meticulous (or excessively OCD)… they look machine fab’d.
I’ll buy the theory of soft luggage racks by some knock off or out of business company though. I haven’t looked that route, which could be why I can’t find them… and they work pretty well for the soft bag I have strapped to the other side.

Looking at your OE mounts… yep, definitely not those.
I’ve seen lots of reviews about the OE box locks that said the same.

Yeah, if home made, somebody did it right. The only thing that makes think not home made, is that odd piece/part on the top rail. But, I've never even seen pictures of what you have. So. . . . who knows.

That odd bit along the top, grab handle to replace the factory one that's not there maybe? I think a generic hard box like a Pelican/Caribou could be made to mount up, maybe not a quick disconnect. Beautifully done though.
