I just installed my 2 brothers pipe today. Its rather loud for my taste. Is there anyway to just tone it down a notch. I know they have the quiet insets but 2 brothers said I couldn't have that with the turn down. Any suggestions?

I have a two brothers slip on and it is only loud when you really get after the bike. I have close to 90,000 miles on it and it has never been repacked. riding it easy just holding the speed limits it isn't much louder than stock. I wonder what the differences are?

So.. when I got my used bike it had a Yosh RS4 exhaust on it without the baffle. The baffle is actually the turn down so it was coming out straight and has melted the left side of the license plate arm, not sure what it's called. It didn't melt it up to bad but you can see it if you look for it. What I am getting at is, you could run a baffle without the turn down, just keep an eye on the plastics back there.

Yes that explains it. Riding it hard will get it to bark pretty loud but in my case as Sierra 1 said it may be me too. All I hear around here are open pipe Harleys and my bike is still quiet compared to some of those!

I agree its not overly loud when your cruising and riding decent. I ride thru alot of little towns and try to be relatively respectful to local folks. I tend to be a little heavy on the throttle on take offs. I like cars to hear me but I dont need caps 5 miles away knowing that im coming

Proper riding technique and making your self visible will save your life, loud pipes have nothing to do with it other then give motorcyclist a bad rap.
If your one to ride in the blind spot of a cagers mirror, eventually you might get bit, not the cagers fault for your stupidity.

I dont disagree. If a driver doesnt see you they can hit you regardless if they can hear you. If a driver is in the car with the radio on evwn the loudest bikes are hard to hear while in motion. I just enjoy a little engine music while im pulling thru the gears

My R6 kid with the Two Brothers exhaust got crashed into, and we all know how loud they are. Visibility is the key. Oh yeah . . . . and reading the mind of the other drivers on the road.
