Some bikes like to climb the ring gear and almost always drift to one side or another. My Royal drifted for 110,000 miles, the Tenere has always drifted. The key thing here is to not take your hands off the bars. We're not joking around about shoving the wheel against the door jam or tree. If they in fact had it apart and retorqued things you'll want to back off a few clamp screws and the axle pinch. I picked up my bike when new and the force of the lift on the bars twisted things pretty bad. Used a door jam and retorqued everything. It hasn't twisted again after several lifts.

My ST1300 always drifted right. I was impressed when I bought the Ténéré how dead ages it goes with hands off the bars.
