Anyone ridden any of this? I’m particularly interested in the UK stages but I’m new to off road and am aware of the limitations of taking a bike the size of the S10 off road and I don’t want to bite off more than I can chew so am looking for a gentle stage to start with

Taking on the UK TET on a T12 is a bad idea, when you are new to off road.
If you pm me your email address, I have some amazing trails in the UK suited for big bikes, that I can share.

PM sent.
I watched a video from ADV that suggested there were some milder sections around Salisbury Plain that I might be able to manage?

I think there are a couple of articles on the Adventure Bike Rider forum Matt that talk about the TET and in particular the stuff around Salisbury plain

Yes, that’s what I meant by ABV. You misunderstood what I meant to say...

Do you have something similar for the Netherlands too? I would love that!

Unless you have off road experience, green lane riding, trials, MX, then I suspect you will find the S10 a huge challenge, as some have suggested.

At some stage, a fall is almost inevitable, so it's best to start out riding something lightweight & purpose built, that you can pick up easily. Always make sure you ride as a small group, in case of injury. Even a few falls, or getting stuck in mud or sand can result in complete physical exhaustion in short order, so having others around is comforting; just don't try getting too competitive until you have acquired the right skill set.

Most of the NL TET is doable on a big bike. There's plenty of sand and mud.

I'd avoid the east-west route as it's mostly paved road, although the riding around Nationaal Park Veluwezoom is quite nice and the road over the elevation is unlike anything else I've seen in the Netherlands. My favourite TET bits are in the south near to Eindhoven where there's a lot of nice packed gravel roads and even some single track. I am based in the centre of NL and often ride over to the German border to ride logging roads in the forest.

PM me if you'd like to have a chat about the TET in NL.

Dear European TET’ers:
Can anyone help me to TET routes in either the Netherlands or Belgium?
I don’t know if it is allowed to TET in Germany, but I am interested for suggestions..
