Traded my Ural gear up for another Yamaha

The Ural was so under powered on the street it was sad. Off-road the skinny tires just sunk in the mud. First time I went off-road I tore the low hanging exhaust off. The first time I really used the 2wd (deep snow) I broke the drive shaft. The only good thing I can say about the Ural is that it looked good.

After welding the driveshaft back together I decided I'd had enough. I traded it in on a real off-road machine and one with reliability. The Yamaha grizzly 700 power steering. Now this is a machine!

Good move. Shame the Ural is such a turd and a maintenance timebomb. It does look good but needs a modern drivetrain and brakes.

Good move for sure. Ural is some sweet eye-candy but I've heard similar stories to yours.
