Has anyone had their Tourmaster boots start to crack on the top near the bend of the foot? These have less than 500 miles on them and only 2 rain rides on them. I'm going to take them back as they tell me the Tourmaster warranty is pretty good. In the mean time, I'll search for some recommendations on boots.

Don't buy the tourmaster air boots, I've had 2 pair the first pair would leak slightly after a couple hundred miles riding in rain, that pair got wrecked in a accident so I bought another pair , rode in 100 miles of light rain and my feet were soaked ! And as far as air there ain't none that I could ever feel, I also have a pair of BMW air boots ans with those I can actually feel nice cool air going through but if it rains I have to wear boot covers. Love my BMW air boots.

If you're gonna wear a boot like those Tourmaster boots, or any other light duty touring boot, do yourself a favor and look at the Bates GX-8 GTX boot. They're actually waterproof (GoreTex), they're every bit as protective as any 'touring' boot like the ones you're talking about, they're supremely comfortable, extremely durable, and available for under $120 all over the place.

The Tourmaster's are utter crap. I had 3 pair, each one had problems.... Soles wearing out unevenly (as in the right boot has holes, the left is barely half worn), leaking water like a screen door, and the leather or the coating on the leather cracking and peeling. Everyone thinks they are a bargain at $112 or whatever they sell for now, but unfortunately, they shouldn't be priced at half that.

I had the first version years ago and they were great. The most recent version is complete crap. in a few thousand miles, the cracks happened to me too. started on the shifting toe pad thing. I'm waiting for Aerostich to get the CBT Lites back in stock in my size and then I'll replace with those.

Was at Iron Pony in Columbus and they had Oxford Boots on closeout, $60 or thereabouts for many of the styles. Guess what, many come out of the same factory as Tourmasterr, including their "new" Flex model with double front zippers.

I have had good luck with Tour master. Had a issue with zipper in an air model boot and my dealer
switched out boots on the spot. I switched back to the standard boot. I also have a pair of the short
version I ware in hot weather I also like.
