Thanks to another member on here, I had a bracket made for the Givi toolbox. The bracket moves the toolbox higher up so it is farther way from the brake caliper.
Nice work, do you have a CAD design or drawing for the bracket please?

Hope you find out the best motorcycle toolbox. But there are some motorcycle tools that must have in your toolkit. Like Wrenches, Tire Pressure Gauges, Screwdrivers, Axle Tools or Tire Irons, Chain Breakers & Riveters, Multimeter, Cable Luber, Tire Inflator or Compressor, and Brake Bleeder. You can also take these tools on saddlebags, sissy bar bags, and roll bags.

I think I've used or lent my tool/spares that I carried to more travelling companions than I have ever used them myself.
Likewise. I loaned out my tire plug kit so much, I had to buy more plugs.....and I have never used it *L*

From memory:-

My fence wire with plastic coating has been used to repair a broken chain (on a DT175 I think) for long enough to get to a garage.

Spare inner tube and tyre levers has been used on an XR400 at a camping event.

Zip ties and fence wire on a DR350 and XT225 to hold broken plastic bits on after a crash.

My allen keys and adjustable spanner have been used to dismantle pedestrian guard rail at work and mount road signs on to posts.

My screwdriver was used by someone cleverer than me along with a coin and a few other item (someone else's spark plug spanner?) to make a temporary gear side footrest for an Armstrong 500 ex army bike.

My penknife was used to cut 4zillion feet of blue farm nylon rope that was wrapped around someone's rear wheel.

My screwdriver has been used with a rock as a hammer to try and open and XT225's fuel cap mid way through a rally/race when the key was lost (bike had to be hotwired to start the race). My mate lost his key after scrutineering, but before starting. He realised that when he needed fuel he wouldn't be able to remove the fuel cap. He was in a frantic panic. A few bangs with my screw driver and his large rock didn't break the lock, but it did smash the cap into two pieces. He did the second lap with half a tank of fuel to keep the level low enough that he could ride with no fuel cap at all.

I appreciate that Teneres and their tool boxes are around when I'm out on one of my Guzzis.

Hi, thanks to @Superraid s drawings I also have this nice mount. Thanks again!
But - after mounting I'm a bit worried - Yamaha says that the rear wheel travels up to 7,5" (190mm) and I measured between the bottom of the toolbox and the highest point of the brake caliper only about 170mm (6,75"). Measured with the bike on the center stand. Am I measuring wrong or do I have a problem?

I think on the center stand is the correct way. It seems like you may have a problem but remember that the wheel travels in an arc, so make sure to consider that when trying to figure out what part of the caliper might make contact.
