What strange day to be alive, well I guess other generations will say that. But after 36 years I have noticed how much of a dumbass I was when I was "younger". Well now I have noticed how opportunities are limited, friends come and go, and yolo yes yolo. For those who dont know it means you only live once.

One of the greatest pieces advice I've ever received was from a gulf war vet. After I explained on all the problems I had and bad service I had received from so called veterans organizations that are here to help veterans. He told me no one will look out more for you then you. Not me, your parents, school, work or organizations. Some are only really only looking after themselves even though they might say otherwise.

Well that was 3 years ago and it's still true to this day. I think about how I could have used this advice when I kid. But such is life and how it we could have been this that or the other. Well I look back and now I am grateful for all that I've been through and lessons learned from missed opportunities. I have lived and not hid in a corner. I have been punched and knocked down but gotten up(slowly). I have met people who made a few million a year down to person who was homeless simply because they didn't want to work at the age of 19. I have seen the world at least more then some by not staying in the nicest of places.

These are just some examples of lessons/experiences that I have seen after my time on this earth. I still have time to explore although not guaranteed. Now thinking back to how much of a dumbass I was when I was younger and the time I wasted and now I think I'm just a dumbass.IMG_20200129_165739_830.jpg
