Where was this picture taken?
It's a picture of what is referred to as the "Crystal Mill" just outside of Marble Colorado. (one of the more photographed remote locations here in the mountains)

It is not actually a Mill at all, but was a water-driven "Compressor House" that provided compressed air to the area mining operations.
I took that picture a few years ago. It is down a fairly rugged jeep-trail that leads to the ghost-town of Crystal. If you keep going past Crystal it leads you to "Devil's Punchbowl", Schoefield Pass, and then on to Crested Butte.
I went back again this past Fall........................just missed peak colors by about a week :(

Here's a vintage photo of it back when it was in operation.
The town of Crystal is in the background....................not visible from that view today due to trees grown up along the creek.
probably from the 1890's?

I watched this bad-boy (Discovery) launch into orbit in-person back in September '88 while camped on the river in Titusville.

I got to see it up-close and personal a couple years ago in the Smithsonian..........Amazing piece of engineering!

I'm pretty sure I saw a scaled down prototype in the mid '70s, in southern Michigan. Didn't know what it was; flying low, and slow. Shiny, with no markings. A couple of years later, I got to go to the Boston Science Museum, and there was a model of one. Don't know why it would have been in Michigan, but I do know there was an Air Force base close by. My dad and I were fishing, and we got to see (and hear) a B-52 taking off.
