I'm running Michelin Pilot 4s on the bike and spending most of the time on pavement. I did some easy trail riding this past weekend and saw some of the guys lowering the pressure in the tires. Is this normal? If so, what's a good pressure to run?

If it's easy trail riding, I never lower pressures. If it's getting knarly, deep sand, loose or muddy, rutted stuff, I drop 10 psi front and rear from my normal street riding pressures of 36F/42R.

IMHO as a mostly street rider, with tubeless tires you really don't want to go too low. 26/32 makes a difference to me. Some I have talked to run as low as in the high teens, but I really don't want to fight a bead coming loose on the trail if I don't have to, or bottom a rim and damage it or the tire from a pinch.
