How many miles did you get from that set? And, are they OE?
I believe they are OE… 56,000 km.How many miles did you get from that set? And, are they OE?
Not a lot of mileage, but good catch!Hey, mine looked just like that, now I don't feel so bad.
The sound of rolling the bike out of the garage on Saturday was different. Took a look at the rear pads and ...

Last year the factory OEM pads gave out 26,000 kms looking pretty much the same.
Im one of them.It does. But apparently people in here don’t like it and have it reduced during flashing..

The troubling part is 90% of my riding is Highway. For the brake pads to wear that quickly?! I would like to disengage the integrated braking if possible. I don’t need the rear brakes to help slow me down when applying the front brakes. I would prefer to choose WHEN, and IF, I need to use the rear brakes.Y'all need to use more of her engine braking. Apparently it makes a big difference.
There are members who've removed the anti skid systems when the module has corroded and become unusable due to cost of replacement. But there's no way to selectively remove part of it and this really makes the point to occasionally hit the brakes hard on wet grass or gravel to cycle the pump. The troubling part is 90% of my riding is Highway. mine on both the 2013 and 2018 looked like that at 25,000 miles. But never woreout a front set even after 50,000 miles .
Didn’t know that! Thanks!Depress the rear brake first then the front, the brake link will go away.
It resets every time you let off the pedal though. The only time I use the pedal is slow, tight turns; world of difference having rear only. With my normal, everyday, riding, I only use the lever along my engine braking.Didn’t know that! Thanks!

For all the noobs, the rear brake on the Tenere does wear fast and it's not uncommon to replace pads and sometimes the disc in the 15-20,000 mile range. The rear disc gets grooves pretty quick if you don't keep the caliper pins clean. These are a known thing that we live with.
