Has anyone found a source for longer throttle cables? I installed pull backs and the throttle cable is short by a couple of inches, and dangerous as it freezes the throttle. I've not yet found a source for any plus 2 or plus 3 cables. Thanks much.

Watch this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Books_of_the_Bible if you look you will be be able toget the minor parts from the hardwar/car store. A little extra can be gained by rotating the throttle so the feeds move down worked on my DRZ.
Wrong link. :-X
AKBob, can the cables be re-routed behind the neck instead of in front of it?

As a follow up, I watched the video and it is very good, but it addresses all cables except the throttle cables. The problem I'm having is that I cannot use the full adjustment capabilities of the Rox Risers without the throttle cable binding and freezing the cables at whatever engine speed I am at when the bars are full right. That could present a problem in a tight spot.

I have contacted Tim at Metric Magic as he is very good at finding cables and I expect to hear from him in the next few days. A plus 3" would solve it for e.

Believe me, I've tried routing, changing handlebar angle, etc., and there is nothing I can find to do to resolve the problem without slightly longer throttle cables.

If anyone else is experiencing the problem I'd be glad to let you know what I find out about cable plus sizes.

Call up Motion Pro. They'll custom you whatever you want. I did it for my WR250R clutch and push/pull throttle cables with a +3 inch setup. Had them in a week and a half time. Perfect fit!

Old thread I know......
but what was the solution! I'm in the same boat. Rox risers tried rerouting techniques and still can't get enough slack out of the throttle cables. No one answered if the cables can be rerouted in front of the neck?
Thank You in advance!

I'll add my 2pennies in here cause I'm in the process of having longer throttle cables made.

Yamaha did something smart with the S10, and most of the other bikes in their line up. They use the same throttle cables as every other yamaha, which means they run about 30 bucks from stadium yamaha Part number 2BS-26302-00-00

I sent them to Jaxon at Ride on adv and he's having them lengthened for my pro taper adv high bars. I may also run a helibar riser with them. Going to be testing and posting a review on them within the next few weeks.

Just found this thread, are you still modifying throttle cables? Or just ordering custom cables from your warehouse?
I reached to my person. They had already headed out for thanksgiving. Your question: it’s both -
