Hi guys, I just want to apologise for misleading you about the bracket on the handle bars for the throttle cables. The guy that assembled my bike was either very bright or err… not so bright... He used the bottom bracket that holds the ABS wiring on the front wheel in place and mounted that on one of the handle bar mounting bolts and routed the throttle cables through it. I must admit, it looks perfect and it does the job of keeping the cables out of the way very well. It will in fact be very easy to make a little bracket like that to keep the cables out of the way, so it is not really a problem.

I noticed the same thing on the ST on display at Biketoberfest in Daytona and then again when it was on display at the Tampa dealership. The cables really looked as if they were routed incorrectly as they came over the front brake's master cylinder and right across the instrument panel.

It would not be the first poor design by Yamaha, I seem to remeber the FZ6 has a cable that covers the ignition, you have to move the cable over to get the key in, how do people miss this??? Crazy...

I think they refer to it as giving it character
