I have been waiting for the question/response on the prototype backrest and attachment strap on the topcase. Will it come in a variety of patterns and colors? ;D

Wasp I showed my wife your ride report and it looks like I will be needing a set of them decals also.

Thanks for the ride report, Greg. As usual you provide a wealth of info and interesting reading.

Do you have a feel for how well your tire choice would do leaned over scraping a peg as you flog the throttle hard through a set of paved twisties? My Anakee tires are great at that task, but they are much less capable off road.

Greg, Thanks for the pics and story. It sounds like a god ride. I am interested in seeing what your version of the decals will look like in yellow if available.

I particularly enjoyed the pictures and the wilderness. which is so rich. Also liked the way the tires handled.

What are the wife's comments about the seat?

I mentioned that 3/4s the way down the first page...

"She commented on day one that it was very much more comfortable than the Ducati seat but she did start to get sore midway through day two.
She only has a little bum though with not a lot of padding (thank you Lord) and ended up sitting on the cushion rather than leaning back against it.
The long days in the saddle certainly didnt effect my (rather more generously sized) bum. :))"

Note to self: Drink coffee before anything in the morning... sorry about that. Also need to learn not to jump posts...
I have another question. Did you use the Denali lights? Any comments?

No, did not.... Only wired them up last night.
Unfortunate really as they would have been bloody handy - There were roo's everywhere on our late return back to base Sunday evening.
Poor little cook was sick as a dog and i'm slamming the brakes on at the first sight of a roo.. (a dozen or more times)... Those things can really turn a good day bad very quickly .
A mate has an S10 with the same lights and he says they are great... I look forward to trying them on our upcoming night bush ride in a fortnight.

Greg.

Only seen 'roos in a zoo... They look cute ::) O:)

If you can take some photos of that night ride showing the rough terrain with and without the lights that would be awesome. I'll look forward to it.

They do look cute and are nice little, or big, things until they get a bit spooked, then they go all stupid run into things or try and punch you out with their feet with the nasty claws, but you have to be asking for it for that to happen.

Cheers
Graham
