Узбекистан также находится в списке желаний Путина «вернуть назад».
He proposed to create an alliance of 6 countries. In addition to the former countries of the USSR, Iran and Turknemestan will also be included there. And there will be one currency in the form of the ruble! I'm not sure that he will have time to do it, but everything is possible.

While everything is cloudy)) Who lives in America, knows about the influx of both Ukrainians and Russians. They write that there is no work))) In Israel, a friend wrote that the influx of Russians is such that he himself will soon be left without work ((

Around here, many people say they are applying, and applying, and applying for jobs, and being told that the position(s) are filled. And yet I continue to see "we are hiring" signs/posts everywhere.

I have also seen that in New York City, a temporary shelter was set up for the people being bussed up there. Capable of servicing hundreds of people. They show video footage of the interior, and it was all but empty. The person in charge said that not many people were using the shelter. It could be that nobody knew it was there. What I think more likely is that the people that they were planning for had already found permanent housing, and that requires money, ie: jobs.

So, I don't know. Is it a geographical thing? Jobs here, but not there? People being picky about the job they're looking for?

But to answer your question, no I do not know about Ukrainians and Russians coming over here. Our influx is from numerous countries to the South.

I have a contract for a European Research group and the guy I talk to weekly said that Europe has been hammered, first by the Syrians and now by the Ukraines and Russians. I understand that a lot of well educated and experienced workers are then shut out of all but menial day labor jobs where they are being taken advantage of, because they can't get work permits. How Ss1 wrote about picking fruit for almost no pay came to mind. I think the travel and immigration limits are keeping many Ukraines and Russians from reaching the US.

As for bussing to shelters in New York and DC, that seems to have ended a couple of months ago. Didn't help the Governors politically for what is now under investigation as human trafficking, to have their taxpayers realize they spent $12 million from Florida, and then the irony of finding it being coordinated by an illegal immigrant, spending $14 million of taxpayer money on the Texas busses, etc. It worked out to $1,750 per person versus <$300 for a Greyhound ticket. At this end, the Latin churches and communities opened up their own assistance programs and met the busses which is why the shelters never took in that many people. We have some in my neighborhood, an hour north of DC. Recently with the cold, ones who haven't found work are heading back south where they have families and began.

Otherwise, we have a lot of open job postings too, but mostly for minimum wage max. Plus, everybody wants to work remote and thinks they should be able to do that or have super flexible schedules. The economy is not bad enough for people to take jobs offered rather than doing gig work or working for Amazon (super flexible hours) and waiting for jobs they think they might be able to get.

I picked cotton
Friends and those who flew to America say that Ukrainians are in priority. They took the entire labor market where some qualifications do not need. Yes, there is some kind of work, but they take it only with a resolution! The second, it is really difficult to fly somewhere. It is mainly with transfers and need a visa for Russians! I do not know how people flies, but the choice is not great. Third, this is the price. The price of tickets fluctuates from $ 2000-4000, or even more (((in YouTube many rollers, where people are looking for work, and it is simply not. I saw how you came to America through the church and through LGBT. Second, I don't even want to know the details

We're getting dangerously close to a political discussion with the southern border issue. Ironically, El Paso has bussed twice as many Govenor Abbott has. And El Paso is a Blue city.

Are you hinting that you can slip there?))

I'd like to see a comparison of the cost of bussing and flying illegal immigrants some folks are saying at the cost of taxpayers in Florida and Texas, etc., compared to just paying for their support (housing, food, clothing, medical, etc.) staying where they initially arrived? You can argue the support cost might be the same (minus transportation costs) wherever they are being sent, since they will need the same considerations at their destinations, but that seems like it leaves kind of an uneven (unfair?) burden on the border states compared to the north and central states. No good answers I guess.

The issue(s) at our southern border is a political mine field. One of the Forum rules is to keep politics out of conversations. CW and I are getting close to the line.

EDIT: we both have entirely different perspectives on what is going on.

Что?)))
My perspective: We have tens of thousands of people coming into the country without any control or support; over 3 million since January 2021. And our Director of Homeland Security claims that the influx is under control. So, several states have flown/bussed thousands of people to key cities in the North trying to bring attention to the problem. Depending on a person's political alignment, they will either support or condemn the bussing/flights.

And then throw in how much of this is actually State vs Federal funded, because I know the Fed reimburses the States and even cities for a lot of the expense. For example, the States talk about their budgets to pay for catching and convicting illegals of felonies, but nobody talks about how the Fed is required to reimburse the States 100% for each of those.

I think Sierra1 has me down as against the bussing but my actual view is it was just a bungled sideshow to make headlines for votes. As WJBertrand was getting to, I care more about what is effective
(A) enforcing a consistent border policy instead of the constant left/right finger pointing or current open borders and
(B) what's most cost effective for those who are allowed to stay.

But it beats me what the answer really is and I have other stuff I'm more concerned about.

Driving a truck. That easy.
This is what you need to do if you want to drive a truck in Spain.
Your Russian driving license is valid only for six months. Later, you need an Spanish license to drive. This means classes and exams to pass. Both, classes and exams are given in Spanish, so you need to know the language.
Once you have the license you still need another license to drive professionally. At least one, depending on the cargo that you are carrying.
You won't be highly paid. Around 1300 E doing national.

So you think that you can come to a foreign country and get a highly paid job just like that? You don't know Spanish, neither English, because you are using a translator at every time you write here. Instead of complaining why you don't tell us what you have actually done to solve your problem? Other than reading forums... It's your problem, not ours. Even more, you have a chance to be accepted in any country due to the current war in Ukraine. But the war won't last for ever. Once the war is finished, you'll be just an outlaw who has fled your country. Nobody wants an outlaw at home. Consider that. Or keep loosing your time, whatever you want.

You have jumped to conclusions! America is being considered for later life because there are or have been opportunities to work without any of the paperwork that has been done over time. In Europe, this is much harder! During this time, I talked to a lot of people. People who live in other countries and are not on the forums. Reviews are not comforting! Just so you know, I never complain! The topic was raised here, I answered. And yes, I use a translator)) So it’s faster for me)) I don’t think I wrote about perfect knowledge of English before)). And no one owes me anything, I didn’t seem to talk about it either)) I just try to communicate here gently, since colloquial slang in English is difficult for me)) But there is a feeling that you are crossing the line)) For you personally, information, visas for Russians, many were annulled, many were waiting for visas and did not receive them. Therefore, I did not consider Europe.
