Am I the only one here who misses Dallara and avc8130? This place is way less interesting with them no longer participating. Who cares if they were a bit brash at times? They knew their shit and they knew the Tenere inside out. This place has become more social media than serious motorcycle forum. It was amazing when I joined last December, but things have definitely changed.

Fortunately one out of two isn't bad and Eric is awesome!

Personal comments like this are what drive people away.

Exactly why at least one of the aforementioned doesn't play here anymore. ::024::
Perspective is a funny thing. Forums get filled with personalities, some stronger than others. Dallara knew a ton of solid information and was often very helpful. He also sometimes forgot that not everyone is an ex racer/shop owner and didn't need/want what he needed/wanted/felt was absolutely necessary.

In the end, people come and go.

I didn't notice at lot of criticism of Dallara from inmates here when he was making personal attacks. I know of serval who no longer play here because they had enough of his personal attacks and simply no longer wanted to be belittled by him. That shit gets old real quick.
Seems also he's worn out his welcome by some on ADV..
Me, I welcome open debate and differing opinions, but not personal attacks on those with differing opinion. He was a wealth of knowledge and a source of rude and personal attacks.
I'd say calling him brash is indeed an understatement. Of course YMMV.

Say what you want about Dallara - you always know where he stands. Can he be a bit brash? Sure. But there was never any question on where he was coming from. And he was always happy to share information or help someone out if needed...

I still miss Snakebitten - said it before - nicest forum guy I've ever "met"...

::026:: A perfect example of one person who could turn a whole forum into a community. Wish I could have spent more time with him in Ouray...

You didn't get to see my criticism to his personal attacks on me because a mod decided to trim them while leaving the original personal attacks stand. It wasn't until I furiously pmed him a few posts showing his personal and oddly homophobic attacks. As much as he new (or thought he knew) the man had a personality flaw that expressed itself poorly in a public forum.

Good on! ::008::

Perhaps he was given a "time out".

I wanted to do the same but was unable to determine who the moderators are. How can I find them?
