Looks promising... Price is incredible and the interest rate they are offering is Incredible. One thing I don't like is how they don't give power specs such as horsepower and torque I'm sure I can find it somewhere but it should be laid out for everyone I don't know why motorcycle manufacturers started doing this not all of them but a lot of them. And In fairness of the ones that do give their specs it's definitely not true. I will say this about the V-Strom. I have never met a dissatisfied V-strom owner or former owner....

I had an 06 plate Strom 1000 and I loved it, brilliant engine, sounded awesome with the open pipes, I had the Sharealike clutch mod done which transformed the low speed manners, fitted a power commander and it was really sorter but I'd heard a lot of good things about the S10. It seemed to be a go to bike after the Strom, I still miss it but that feeling goes away when I ride the S10.

I came really, really close to picking up a Vstrom right before I purchased the S10. Vstroms are brilliant bikes, but the S10 is just a more refined ride IMO. The Strom is very capable and comfortable to ride, but I knew I would have regretted not buying the S10 after riding it. It just fit me better.
Had I not found the S10 I'd have purchased the Vstrom and been none the wiser.

The 1050XA (Canadian model with the bells and whistles) was one of the possible options when I was bike shopping. It was $2k cheaper than a S10. I had demoed a 2019 1000 adventure, and ridden a few different 1000's prior to that. I like the engine. I like the clutch. I like the gear ratios. The handling isn't bad either. The power is okay, not exactly exciting. If you're not going to be doing 2-up, the 650 is actually the better bike.

With the 1050XA, the wife and I sat on one, spent probably 45 minutes in the show room trying out riding positions, and seeing if it would work for us. Since I'm on this board, you can probably guess, we picked the S10. If I wasn't doing 2-up riding, the 1050XA would have been a real contender, because they finally added all the needed features; traction control, with modes; variable engine modes; nice height adjustable windscreen; a dash that doesn't look 20 years old. Sadly, she was too small. The seat adjustment for height is clunky too, and requires tools and about 10 minutes of struggle; I made the sales guy change it into the high position for me.
