The Smith System Advanced Driver Training and Drive Cam are Life savers every day! I wish it was more widely known and available to all drivers. If you get a chance to do it. i guaranty it will change your world. I thought i was a pretty good driver until my company introduced it to me and our drivers. I went on to Teach it for 20 plus years, to New and recurrent Concrete Mixer Drivers.

In my brief 8 month residency in the LA basin there wasn't a single days commute that didn't have a motorcyclist vs auto announcement on the radio. I drove a work truck, tried hard to keep my mirrors out of rider's way.

She IS stout, isn't she? I tipped over my bike twice due to dumb mistakes. I inspected her afterwards, along with a pro mechanic. Not so much as a scratch!
Tip overs? LOL

I always laugh when I park downtown for work and some proud cruiser owner says that his bike has "never been down."

That was a hard fall!! What amazed me was watching it on the trail with street tires!!

No side bars are OK as long as there are not rocks or a rough surface which can press the fan into the radiator. We've had a number of members who had pushed the fan into the radiator.

I might add that the AltRider upper bars are a must for any off highway travel. My bike tipped over on a slight off camber and it landed right on the bracket that holds the upper protection. I'm 100% sure it would have bent the radiator.

And patience was the key that day!! Trying to lift a 600lb+ bike on slippery dirt with slippery moto boots was brutal!!

a little stale this thread , but video reminds me why I hate low water crossings which we have a plenty in central texas . moss covered motorcycle slime traps...… make me pucker every time I have to cross them.... type of tires does not matter much , its all about being verticle and absolutely as neutral in power output as possible and that's still a "crap" shoot as that is what you will mutter on the way down.
