I know I kind of ripped off the title, but what the hell it fit. I introduced myself earlier this week, when I picked up new to me S10 in Iowa.

So far I have been through Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, and parts of North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and now I am in Mississippi.

I will post some updates as I head back toward home in California.

a plantation house . the house did not cause the war. the system it represents was a cause . it shows what man can justify to be right in his own eyes.

A little update on the trip. Skirted some thunderstorms in Mississippi and ended up in New Orleans. Arriving in New Orleans got pulled over by NOPD who wouldn't accept my temporary permit from California and gave me a ticket. ‍♂ Tried to explain the permit then he talked about impounding the bike, so quickly shut my mouth and accepted the ticket.

Tomorrow I head to Texas to visit old Marine Corp buddies I haven't seen 30 years. From there I will decided whether I take the longer way home through Colorado or the direct route through New Mexico.

Well my trek home is complete with just over 5000 miles of riding on my Tenere. I have to say I love the bike. Not a lot of pictures after I left Abilene TX, because of storms I had to change my route and head straight home, but a day on the bike is still better than being at work.

You didn’t happen to see a girl in a flatbed Ford slowing down to take a look at you?

Your fly and ride got me thinking I just should buy another bike. I’ve been in every state west of the Rockies but I don’t want to wait until retirement to checkout the east.
