lost in the woods
anyone heard any thing on the June shipment of bikes? The dealership called me yesterday to tell me my boxes were in, which got me all excited 'cause we had to play phone tag for a bit.
Yup, we heard THAT before!Propsoto said:Just came from my dealer, my boxes are there as well. My bike has been pushed from "May" to "June". Whatever that means. I guess it just means my ST1100 will get more miles.
there was a first shipment to dealers who already had them allocated to them or met some critera. my closest dealer doesn't know jack sheet about how to market anything but quads and sxs's so I put a deposit on one and am waiting until june. that's fine. more time to save up for farkles , besides i'dd rather a new bike than sit there and watch it from the window while it rains and snowed on it.Bug Dr. said:I'm confused. Some folks are currently riding 2014 STs and I know that at least one is riding one that wasn't pre-ordered. How is it that a few were shipped to the states early?
I don't understand how a small number have arrived and have been purchased while the majority of the country is waiting for "the shipment". What's the deal?

Dealer new me has a blue 2014 on the floor. So, some have reached California.tomatocity said:Does anyone in California have a 2014? If not, could it be emissions related?
I just picked mine up in Petaluma last night. It's the only 2014 they've seen, and it was actually headed to another dealer. My dealer had to trade a couple of bikes to get it. And it never hit the showroom floor - from the delivery truck into my hands, basically.tomatocity said:Does anyone in California have a 2014? If not, could it be emissions related?

Curiously, while Mellow's is #144, mine is #5. The difference being his is the standard model, mine is the ES.
When we were posting our VIN's as the first shipment of 2012's arrived in 2011, we found that the CA bikes had their own sequence numbers, so there could be the same last 3 digits on CA bikes and 49 state bikes.Dmcleane said:::004::
