I've worked in that kind of cold and tools get brittle. It's better than in the teens working on the wet blowing deck of a work boat.

Well, it is an almost 50° increase in temp. But, I'd rather not start with a minus sign in front of the number. :oops:

Hmmm, my daughter is in NH and just yesterday experienced THE COLDEST TEMP ON RECORD @ -108° F!

The picture is kinda misleading in that it shows Mt. Washington but doesn't say Mt. Washington. And yeah, there is a difference between air temp and wind chill. But if I walk outside my junk isn't going to care, that's frackin' cold.

The Mt. Washington auto road has been the subject here a number of times. While this -108F was with the wind chill, the actual temp part was -47F before wind gusts of up to 127 mph.

Puts a new definition on something that can "Blow me away."
