Having done the math, I know driving the Chevy Bolt EV costs me about a third of what the Super Tenere does and I've now ridden a couple of electric bikes.
But the Tenere is staying because it's a heck of a lot more fun.

(fwiw for 75 miles on $2.79/gal gas, the bike is $4.19 and the Bolt costs $1.40 charging at home)

With the EURO7 in 2025, electric vehicles will no longer be an "option" ...

Yeah, I saw that on the local news the other night. It's probably wrong that my initial reaction was thinking it was an over-reaction to detonate it. DM looked at me like I was an idiot (not the first time that's happened).

this is the anything thread so here is something. I dropped my keys getting off my bike in the pitch black of the morning at work. I heard them jingle. I have a flash light but it was locked in my side box. I looked and looked and moved the handle bar bag I have up there. I saw just the tip of a strap I have on the key ring sticking out from between the air box and the gas tank! I only have a couple keys on the ring and they laid down flat enough to slide right between there. I just could barely get a finger nail on the tip of the strap and slid them back out. Never had that happen before. I have lost my keys twice between the console and the drivers seat in my Jeep. They are hard to get out of there too! Guess i better start carrying spares!

. . . . I have lost my keys twice between the console and the drivers seat in my Jeep. . . .
I think there's a magnet that makes keys go there. Everytime that I drop my keys. . . . they end up there. And, with my lock box under the seat. . . . it's almost impossible to get them out.

As discussed in an earlier thread, I and some others have a spare key hidden on the bike. It's a bit of a pain to get to but perfect for not finding the key when away from home.

I keep a spare key on my bikes as well. It's so well hidden on my Beta I forgot where I put it.
