dont really get this. the s10 is an all road bike, not an off road bike. the 19 front is spot on. after riding my mates 1290 super adv r i was left thinking "where are ktm going with this?". its too much in the gravel, average on the blacktop. if you want a dakar bike, do as the rally folks do and get 150kg 450 with 60hp? i dunno, dont make sense to me at least
Dang… I should have read the fine print on the Brochure to never take my S10 off road. I should probably take Mitas E07 Dakar tires off asap and put some street tires on it. Now I feel bad I abused this motorcycle with over 2000 miles this summer off the road.

So, I was watching the Queen's funeral procession today, and noticed that the escorting motors were a little bit different. This is their standard police motor unit: 1663106982515.png
The escorting motors today were still Beemers, but totally different . . . . RSs?: 1663107103679.png I did some checking, and although it says "police" on the bikes, these guys are called "Special Escort Group". Found another picture of the "Group" on what I think are Hondas VFRs: 1663107330712.png Ok, what do y'all UK guys know about the Special Escort Group?

There is a video on youtube about them, they have whistles in their mouth and don't use sirens as they travel very slowly and find a whistle gets both pedestrians and car drivers attention. I was in London near Buckingham Palace the day before the state funeral and told my friend's daughter to listen out for whistles and sure enough we heard some and they went past. One pulled up on his own, stops the traffic at a signalled junction, another was making cars move over (in either side of the road, they use every route possible not to stop). The limo passed us and the police motorbikes left behind race off to get past the limo and do it all again further along.

My bike really felt sluggish the other day. It has always been sluggish off the bottom but this was really dragging hiney. I have not been able to fill up at my normal stop. I put a new tank of gas in it and now it is getting on down the road good! I filled the DR650 up at the same spot and didnt notice too much but yesterday i rode over to the lake and filled it up with no ethenal gas and wow that thing really feels good! Funny the fuel injected bike was affected more than the carb bike. Anyway i wont stop at the other place any more

I don't think the ethanol was the reason for the performance change. More likely water or another contaminant.

No i don't think it was the ethanol but something was not right with that gas. I just stopped and got non ethanol gas in the DR. It really woke up with that even though it was not running bad. Something else I have noticed is when I use my two stroke fuel in my mowers and even the DR one time when it was too low on fuel to get to town talk about waking something up. It is non ethanol gas mixed with Bel Ray synthetic two stroke oil. Talk about some machines running great! They sound better respond better and just keep pulling! I normally don't do that but I have ran a LOT of two stroke mix through my mower over the last 30 some years and it always wakes up when I do that.

sounds like it might have a sticky ring, a little two stroke oil will often loosen the ring and make it run better.
I just pour a little marvel mystery oil in the tank every once in awhile.
