anythings a long ride for me! But if you can top those Ozark roads the go for it. Arkansas was amazing and would return to there in a heart beat even though it's 6000miles one way

6000 miles ?? ???

you know you can get there just by going south right? ;D

you don't have to go north around the world and then up through South America to get to Marble Falls ::)

Maybe you were thinking in km ....... no, it's only 5000 km ;)

6 months, to the day, I end my personal "fast" from really riding the Blue Beast. In fact, as you can see below, I hypocritically trailered my Tenere to The hub.
(For that, I fall on my sword. ??? I can't count the times I have chided and chastened a fellow Tenere brother for EVER committing such an unpardonable sin)

Anyways, I gotta thank everyone for their gracious and warm welcome back. You guys might never know how much that meant to me. It was just what I needed! Thanks.

However, it must go on record that my intentions were to "warm up" with a couple of easy to moderate rides before even dreaming of picking up where I left off on the BDITW. But I made the fateful mistake of saying YES to Karson on day 1 when he rode up beside me and asked "hey snake, you wanna ride with us today?"

I haven't seen Kid Karson for more than a year. And I haven't met a better example of our species in 56 of them on the planet. So how could I decline?
The couple of snapshots below do not do justice to where HE took me! But let's just say that it didn't take long for the intimidating and seemingly increase in SIZE of my bike, after not riding for so long, diminished back to an intoxicating familiarity. (including the fading memory of how heavy a napping Tenere is to pick up. We picked them up a LOT ::) )

I believe 2 miles on someone's GPS took about 3 hours. Single track and wicked creek crossings. Lots of civil engineering at each one.

Regardless, I definitely was hoodwinked into getting back on the horse. Cheers to You and Wayne, Karson! You are the man!

And to all my other friends too!

And yes eemsreno, I have lost enough weight that my suspension no longer is suggesting a increase in spring rate. However, my riding pants ARE demanding a narrower replacement.
My loss is Revzilla's gain.

I was already annoyed enough that my work situation required me to cancel out making the trip. Seeing that you were there and I didn't make it only amplified the irritation. It is nice to see you back here again.

But riding straight there by the shortest route would be no fun ::025:: And I May have estimated my mileage a little long O:) but then
I checked and actually logged 9770 KILOMETERS one way THATS 6070 Miles (it was a slightly round-a-bout route) will be longer going back home ::021::

Good to be back fellas. Thanks. Really, I mean that.

Dirt Dad, I won't miss the next Romney-thingy, I don't think. So one way or another, it is inevitable. :)

Awesome! See you in May.

Of course by you saying you're coming, the attendance at the Romney-thingy just increased 10%.
