Can’t see the start of this thread but I adjusted (tightened) my throttle cable yesterday and now it’s running really strange. Seem to have to twist the throttle a lot more now. What was the advice given that worked for you?

I increased cable tension to remove the slack.
Yep, made mine a LOT smoother in normal riding. However, when the cruise control turns off for whatever reason, the instant and strong compression braking can be startling. I hate to think what could happen if you didn't turn it off soon enough headed into a fairly sharp curve. I only use it when cruising with LOTS of visibility ahead.

Removing the slack helps, but more time in the saddle is what made the biggest difference to me. As muscle memory improves, so does the throttle. Once you get used to the engine braking, it becomes a wonderful tool. But, I've never made an abrupt throttle closure in a curve. . . . I don't think that would be very fun. :D

What is this wizardry of which you speak? Cruise control? mine is a 2013. I do miss it. My old Ultra Classic had cruise and it proved valuable on cross country jaunts. But, the Supa Ten has stolen my heart. She reminds of a pioneer woman. Maybe not the prettiest girl on the Oregon Trail, but she will grab the 45-70 when it is time to shoot marauders, chop down trees to build a cabin and take care of you when the time comes!

I never thought of my bike in that way. I just like to ride it. :)
