If the Tracer had the same Gen II instrument panel and thinking how Yamaha work and squeeze the last drop in their assembly line to not introduce big changes. Then can we fit the New Tracer TFT.

I have no background on both wiring harness nor the electronic system.

This question came to my mind just after i bought the bike.

No i don't want a GS .

Tracer (with TFT) has 3 ride modes, fuel consumed instead of fuel range, gear indicator uses a seven position switch instead of a RPM/speed calculator, different red line but it's user adjustable along with colour, no time recorder, and a shift light. No chance at all of retrofit to the Super Tenere, but I would welcome the factory update on future models.

I don't know. A lot of stuff is run thru the ECU now on its way to the instrument panel. You don't say what Gen Super Ten you have. Is it really that big a deal that you would spend $300 or more to accomplish this? The phrase "don't fix it if it ain't broke" comes to mind. ;)

Agree. But for me that's the only thing I'd like to have on the bike right now. Not saying that the militarian one is ugly.

The Tracer TFT meter is over $700 retail, but so is the earlier LCD. I expect the TFT is actually less costly to make considering the increasing volume and popularity so if Yamaha were ever to release a gen3 S10 it would surely have the modern display.

That's funny. :D It's not Art, it's a tool. Play with your toys and stop thinking about what looks ugly or pretty or cool. Function always, always trumps everything else. Enjoy what the tool can do for you.
