Currently testing out the shark carbon gt helmet for work.....get to keep it for a nominal sum after if I like it .
If someone is thinking of getting one , reply to the thread and I will give you an honest review . First impressions are that its miles ahead of the Spartan carbon range .

I have been using Arai XD since they first became available but today after going through the crazy process of changing the Faceshield I am seriously thinking about switching brands, switching faceshield on Arai helmets has always been over complicated.
So yes I am very interested in your review and pictures.

I have the ARAI Corsair, and my kid has the Signet. They both have "tool less" face shields. Very easy, and very quick to change. I'd say easily less than a minute to go from light to dark face shield, or vice versa

I use a shoei hornet x2. It is toolless and changes without removing the peak. Takes me a couple minutes, including on/off the head and unpacking the other visor from the tank bag.

I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide.
My shark lasted less than 2 months. At that point the chin bar took 2 hands to move to the rear or to the front to latch.

The company wouldn't honor the warranty or even offer to take a look at the helmet. Their only response was good luck with whoever you bought it from..... I'll never spend a penny on one of their products again. Too bad they don't care about their customer service I liked the idea of them.

Now I’m wondering what you meant by “tool less” maybe that means you need a nickel or whatever small change Arai recommends ? I use a screwdriver. Many years ago I owned a Arai Signet and it had one plastic screw on each side to hold the faceshield in place along with a plastic snap on cover that was rather difficult to remove if you weren’t experienced with it and a plastic washer so in my opinion there was nothing simple about it.
The XD uses 2 of those plastic screws along with a tiny plastic spacer-gasket type thing that only fits properly one way, today when I took it apart that tiny gasket fell out but luckily I saw it happen and after a bunch of fumbling around managed to get it back in place.

Nope. I had something similar to what you're talking about. They've changed it. There's a lever, that lives under the side cowls, that you push up. Then lift the visor up fully, then off. Reverse to put back on. Slickest thing I've seen for visor change.

Thanks for the reply, so far I’ve owned every version of the XD so hopefully they will greatly improve the shield mounting on the next model and maybe I will buy another one someday.

I just found some other videos about changing the Signet X's visor. Looks like they changed it again, and not necessarily for the better. Looks more complicated. I love the version I have.
