I now have a Corbin riders seat mounted to my 2018 Tenere, bought the Corbin used a couple years ago to use on my previous 2013, used it on the 13 for about 100 miles and thought the cover was to slippery for me. So last week thinking maybe the previous owner had used something like Armorall on it I decided to try washing it off with dish soap, can’t really say weather that helped or not but I’m going to give the Corbin another try. The Corbin seems about as close as you could get to the same height as the stock seat but it doesn’t lean forward like the stock seat and the drivers seat is sort of dished instead of just flat and leaning forward like the stock seat. Next spring I will have to take it on some longer rides to find out if the Corbin works for me or not.

I’m really digging my Terry Adcox. Awesome value and soooo comfy.View attachment 50782
Sure looks comfortable ! Since your from Tennessee maybe you got to try one before you bought it ? For now I’m going to wait until I can put some significant miles on my Corbin before making a decision what to do next but those Terry Adcox seats sure look comfy .

I'm very cheap. I don't like my seat for the long run. Have thought about one of those fuzzy sheep skin covers for around $75. Kind of funny. I use to laugh at them when I was younger. It's amazing what time does.
I’ve got one if you really want one, purchased from Aerostich. PM if interested.

It's better than nothing, but I don't think they really add much comfort. The same pressure points are still there, you just have a sponge that soaks up the rain.
I have one I've switched between various dirt bikes, my Tenere, and a KTM Adventure. I've actually put it on the passenger seat now, since I'm told that's quite uncomfortable after half an hour.

Russell day long fan here 1500mi in a day no problem on my Ultra LTD. Scared to get something else with results like that. Tempted to try Corbin also locale. I will end up with a Russell just haven’t pushed the button yet. Ride in appointments are into next year. Got to do it soon, the stock seat has my butt burning in 20 miles. 3 bar and restaurant stops on the way home from the dealer when I bought it... never make it to Deadhorse in June like that.

I had a Russell on my FJR, the Terry is just as comfortable.

Anyone on here use a Touratech, (Kahedo), seat? They come as low, medium and high and I was wondering if they are any good.
I use the Touratech comfort seat. This one is for hotter climates keeping your “cheek” area cooler according to the manufacturer. It also is good if the seat gets wets as it has a stay dry type of surface as the wet soaks under the surface.
It’s comfy for longer distances using my Rukka paijane pants with the Rukka seat pad built in. However my only complaint is using the Rukka pants I have it can slip on the seat surface under braking especially after a Nikwax wash in application. Maybe I need to do the seat mod?

I've tried a bunch of stuff. I'm 6 foot and usually don't have an issue with height but the RDL was too tall. I really like the "dish", shape, & height of my Sargent. I also really like the foam on my Seat Concepts seat. It's a toss up between the two, will probably list both for sale and keep the one that doesn't sell.

A Sit N Fly cover will help any seat in the heat.

Shame the RDL isn't available in the UK as I really like the look of them. Even with the seat in it's highest position and max preload I can still stand over the bike. Adding a couple of inches to the saddle height without having to resort to Airhawk cushions and other things would be great. I've had modified seats before by a guy local to me, but I don't think he could emulate the sprung and dished elements of the RDL and being wider would be a plus for me too. I'm not saying I'm fat, but I'm a bit easier to see than most...

For really long rides, I still like the Seat Concepts with just a touch of air in the Airhawk.

I bought a used Airhawk, and after a SS1000, the seat wasn't on the top of the list of things to modify (I bought Bose QC20 headphones the next day).

I came off a Kawasaki Concours, and almost went to an FJR. Not once did I question my decision to go to a S10. Wish it had cruise, though. I found myself creeping close to speeding ticket territory (88mph) on the open road...

Yes wanting cruise control was the main reason I traded my 2013 in for a brandnew 2018, it was a pretty expensive trade but I’m sure glad to finally have a Tenere with a real cruise control.
