So you put diesel in your tank.
Pull the tank off and dump everything out of it. Dump gas in it and Pour It out.
Refill your tank with gas.
Diesel is thicker than gas so it will have a harder time going through the injectors but it will clear up.
Yes your bike will spit and sputter for a bit and will be hard to start.
be very careful on pouring raw gas down the intake. Hydro lock, Extreme oil dilution from gas going past the rings.
It will be fine otherwise.

I don't know much but I am going to go with water got into the gas station's tank and thus ended up in your tank. It wouldn't take long for the water to make its way to the engine.... you might not have made it out of the parking lot before it died.

We got back in the boondocks in a 84 tbird and we were almost out of gas. We found a diesel tank in a field and cranked about a 1/4 tank in it. We got on the long straight road down the top of the levee and he put the hammer down for 15 miles wide open. Speedo was pegged on 85 with coal rolling out the back. When we got to a station the engine pucked some water and steam. HOT. the guy didn’t have to do anything but drive it and it cleared up.

Alright everyone new fuel pump came in today, and.....

I'm continuing on my road trip!!!!

So based on everything we did, and tested, I'm inclined to believe something was wrong with the fuel pressure regulator.

I'd like to thank everyone for their input c:

On the road again.
