Is it to early to start talking 2021 rally?
I'm snowed in and ready for a new riding season, one without a virus.
I like the Black Hills as a central location. I was out at Nemo, SD. this fall and the potential is limitless for great riding. ,
Nemo Guest Ranch & Campground - Deadwood
Lots of the trails are big bike friendly with no lack of scenery.

Just this morning DM and I were just discussing what ride(s) to do in 2021. Black Hills would be hard to pass up. There's some fantastic riding in that area.

politicians going to say can't do that for another year or better . we are not quite trained to their level of expectation . bad ol virus going to get you .
pick a date and a place and let freedom ring .
remember what ever date you pick or place is not going to make everyone happy , just going to drive you crazy trying to accommodate every one . so accommodate yourself and all will be well . and those who can will.

Of course some states are a lot looser on that than others, Dakotas have been pretty accommodating. No doubt some can’t make it and good chance with my schedule I won’t, but if we get something set I have a better chance by making sure something else doesn’t get filled in there.

I've been looking into Black Hills riding weather and it looks like mid June is the earliest but trails close when to wet any time of year.

I also really like the Black Hills the week before Sturgis because there is lots of bikes in the hills . Bikers are always better that cars.

Never been to Sturgis, but I've seen enough photos of the event to know riding the Black Hills is a primary activity for the attendees. I personally would want to be as far away from the date of Stugis as possible. Too much excessively slow moving traffic tends to put me in a foul mood.

That is actually only during the rally. I have been in the B.H. several times the week before and have never seen a traffic problem, Just don't go to the actual Sturgis city.

I’ve never been to one of these meets, is it normally just off pavement or mostly on or maybe different style of rides for different groups?
Camping? Motel?
