The link below has about 20 pictures of the Super Tenere (both clothes and un-clothed) from the December Bike Show in Toronto, Ontario.

Yes, the pics are rather big... oh well! Enjoy.

Great, Gat. Thanls for posting. Fun to see it stripped down.

I see the Canadian bikes are a mixture color bits. They get the ladder sticker that is missing from the U.S. bikes, but the black seat and panels; same as us.

The last pic, that lists the specs, shows the "Colour" names as "Vivid Purplish Blue" and "Metallic Black". Always interesting that they use different names for the same colors in different markets. It would be fun to see if that is due to actual market research and public panels or just the marketing departments whims. In the U.S., the chosen color names are "Impact Blue" and just plane "Raven". What where the colors called in Australia, Europe, the U.K. Africa, etc.?

Love the photos! Are those european models with the 2012 flat black cowlings? Hope they don't put that ladder and yellow tenere sticker on mine. :D

From what I understand they are European bikes and not NA bikes (hence the colour/ sticker combo's). My Dad was told that only the Canadian bikes are getting the blue or red stickers on the fairings. I'm pretty sure that this is not correct (they are shown on Yamaha USA's website). Maybe he was talking about the ladder sticker?

Only time will tell!

The new Yamaha Stryker's blue option color is listed as Impact Blue and we just got one in at our shop last week. It looks very good to me.

great pictures, we didn't have any naked bike like that in Seattle. Well i guess this is the states, we frown upon naked stuff more here than in Canada.

Nice! I looked on the U.K. Yamaha website, and they say the 2011 will be available in "distinctive black" but I think the "distinctive" part was just an adjective and not part of the official color name. Was the silver available in the U.K. or just in Africa, Australia, etc.?

[Edit: Found it. Just found a Euro spec Yamaha page and they listed this years colors as "Viper Blue, Silver Tech or the new Midnight Black". ]

Thanks for the pix. Won't see the S10 till Feb in Greenville. That seems like a long way off, and May seems like an eternity!

I just noticed the pics of the skid plate. That oil filter is right out in front of the engine casing, only protected by the skid plate. Anyone concerned about this design?

It seems like it would be a big deal, but V-STroms have a similar set up.

I haven't heard about them causing problems too often, so I assume they are probably protected a bit from the angle to the front wheel, the bottom of the engine seems to be hit more often.

Cheers
Graham

I'm waiting for the Edmonton Motorcycle show to make my purchase, I have been leaning towards the BMW R1200gs until I found this forum, excellent info and reviews.

Haven't been able to find a Canadian delivery date if pre-ordered, anyone heard?

I'm a true Yamaha rider and this bike couldn't have come at a better time, yeeha!!!

Haven't owned a road bike for 30+yrs, at 55, decided to do some touring with the wife. We live in Alberta close to the Rocky's, there's some beautiful back country here. The BMW's are excellent bikes, but do lack solid dealer support. The local Yamaha dealer were I buy have an excellent customer service record. The Tenere' is perfect timing for me.
