Super Tenere mention in August issue of Bike magazine UK

Blimey a journalist who appreciates the bike for what it is instead of moaning because it doesn't have all the toys! I am fed up with journos saying how heavy it is but failing to mention the Triumph 1200 is heavier and TOP heavy! I've ridden one and it's a heavy lump!

It's not just the journos. Almost everybody complains about her weight. 600lbs is not light, but she doesn't feel or handle like an average 600 pounder. She's not a KLR. And she's easy as hell to live with. ::001::

I am not the most skilled rider in the world - I try to ride within my skill level. I have had several different kinds of bikes and I am amazed at how well the S10 handles for slow manuevring. Pracited u turns today in a school parking lot and I can’t believe how tight I can turn her. Turns easier than the KLR 650 I had.

LOVE her balance. Someone would have to prove to me there is something better for me to believe it....in the liter bike ADV market that is.

A common exercise from the past is to do figure eights within four parking spaces; the cross over point being where all four spaces connect. It was "do-able" on the Beemer, Honda, and the wonderful FJR. It is SO much easier to do on the Tenere; about a foot smaller circles too. Linked brakes suck on tight/slow stuff. The RT-P had unlinked brakes, and I love the fact that it is possible to have rear ONLY on the Tenere; world of difference. ::001::
