Just had a discussion with a couple of others who are organising and attending this weekend and due to the in coming storm we’ve decided to cancel reluctantly . Heavy rain and 55mph winds forecast for the Saturday which is not ideal for a group ride on a welsh mountain I’ve just cancelled my room but if individuals still want to attend then it’s your call . Personally I’ve a 5-6 hour ride from Norfolk on the Friday in potentially stormy conditions so just from a safety point of view pulling out .

Sorry no. I think with lack of response prior to Triple Dick announcing the cancellation and the impending Storm there won’t be anyone going.
Hopefully it can be another time next year?

I received an email in response to my email regarding cancellation of our rooms from the meets hotel where most of us were staying. This email and my response are on the images below. Seems a top place to stay in the future and hopefully we can support the Neuadd Hotel for future Welsh based meet ups.

I just got over a virus so

I couldn't have attended as I'm a tutor with the local Rospa group and 30 of us were booked to do 3 days training from South Wales to North, 20 pupils and 10 tutors, most have their test tomorrow so we went ahead with it, it was a great experience from a training point of view but not the weather to be exploring the back roads of mid/north wales, it was a wise decision to cancel it. Hope to be able to attend next years meet!

Yep,
i found this late so missed anyway but will keep an eye out for future xt1200 uk meets, had mine 4 years now still only see one one every now and then still quite rare to see out.
