I would definitely ride Idaho again!
I fell in love when I was up there a couple years ago.
Not sure if I can swing it next summer or not? Won't know until early next year sometime.

I "adventure" quite a bit but the fact of the matter is that I'm a loner and do not enjoy traveling with company at all (tried it, didn't like it). No offense to my fellow inmates, just the way I've always been.

That's usually me on road trips but when venturing off road or back country I like 1 or 2 with me. It has to be the right people though for sure!

Considering the NM BDR next year.......... Anyone have the experience / gear and want to go ? (currently thinking fall)

After the BDR, I will probably head to Ouray, CO and ride some mountain passes and around the area.......

I don't think I have anything planned for next September. I should have my 8 gallon gas tank in place by then too. Along with my already mounted 2 gallon extra... in case I... or anyone else needs it! I will have to start looking into what it entails. Early Sept I hope as those are big mountains and as you know weather could change fast in late September.

The group I do BDRs with has NM on the list for next year. I think September would be ideal, but snow could become an issue the closer it gets to October, especially for the San Juan's. Chloride Canyon is legit right now. Its hard enough that I wouldn't take a big ADV through it, but would take my 690.

We should along with the help of Mad_Matt, keep this thread alive and working putting this ride together.... I would feel better going with a few people for safety..... Let do it....

I bet Wymbly1971 would be interested. Now as you know I can ride any distance and not mind... but I also am changing my mindset a bit on trailering. If Wymbly1971 or someone north and east of me wants to come I would be interested in loading bikes on my big box trailer and ‍♂ down in my truck. When traveling home weather doesn't matter. I have crossed the plains a myriad of times and don't mind seeing it from my pickup and save my more aggressive BDR tires for the trail.
