After many different attempts I now have a really good template for a summer windscreen.

The picture here is the un-bent version. If you use polycarbonate (Lexcen) instead of acrylic (Perspex) you can simply screw it in place. You can also cold bend it or heat it. Personally I heat them and bend over a 20 litre oil drum for the perfect super tenere shape.

Perspex works well too but must be heated and bent.

These photos are taken un-heated and with the protective white film still on the polycarbonate.

I made one for you philistine if you are watching.

I was thinking of making the template available to any forum members if you want it. Cheers

That looks good, and very generous of you to make a template available to forum members ::008::
I would be interested, my only issue is when I had the stock screen (now use Calsci XL) the wind noise was unbearable, even with earplugs, which I hate using anyway, I did get quieter clean air if I stood up. But for the summer months this would be ideal ( yes, it does get hot here in the Summer  )

That air from this hits on my upper chest but importantly it is clean undisturbed air. I wear ear plugs every where except around town.

This has been my problem too, the wind noise is just deafening even with ear plugs

Ok, I've added the final product. Bent and protective wrap removed. Looks a lot better. Awesome to ride too. Feels like a naked sport bike. Haha

That does look good, and in tint would look a lot better ::008::, I like tinted in short screens, just not tall ones as they obscure my view of the road.

Holy Swiss cheese, you live in Switzerland! Do you even have summer? I'd love to send one over there just to say an Aussie bike part was riding around Switzerland. I could even come and visit it. I was there on my honeymoon in 1999.

Oh yes, it does get hot here, look at my first post in this thread, this summer temps were well over 95 f and some days around 100 f, way too hot to ride. You are more than welcome to visit, I even use my BBQ nearly every day (even when snowing), much to the amusement of the neighbours. Let me know what it'll cost me to have one of these...........

Looks nice. Can you post a picture of the entire bike with this on? Maybe a shot from 10 feet away.

THANKS

This one is "Powerbronze"! I'm keeping it for the summer heat + I removed the winglets.

Looks nice. I had a Powerbronze (mid) on my 2012 but not as short as yours. Actually still have the Power bronze in my garage. Good windshield.

How do you cut the material and where to you purchase it?
I get the polycarbonate from a hardware store and cut it with a jigsaw. It is very forgiving and much easier to work with than Perspex. Make sure you buy the exterior grade as it resistant to UV.

To bend it I place it in an oven (the small summer screen just fits) for 15 min on 150 deg C (300f). I then place it over the side of a 20lt oil drum to get the right shape. Hold it in place while someone else wets it down with a wet cloth. It will cool and almost hold its shape. The amount it springs back is about perfect for the S10.
