2012 with about 26K on it. No issues till this morning. Started fine. Blipped the throttle and it stumbled and the check engine light came on...no throttle response at all. Turned it off and restarted fine. Revved it and it seemed okay. Took off for work and it was fine until I got to the highway. Gave it throttle to get up to speed quickly and same issue. Was able to restart again and it was okay until you gave it throttle to quickly. So I eased it to work. Any ideas what it is. I'll pull the codes when I get it home. Plugs and air filter done at 24K. Thanks

Just throwing out thoughts...... Have you recently used a high pressure washer on your bike? When was your last fuel stop?

The last time I worked on a bike with this "type" of issue turned out to be a TPS sensor. But this was on a bike with over 100K miles. I DOUBT this is your cause. .

Please post the codes, that should tell us what we need to know without guessing.

No recent washes...fuel was put in about a week ago and run 100 miles since.

I need to figure out how to get the codes without a diagnostic reader.

Showing error code 59 which I believe is TPS or its harness. Oddly enough I installed a MC Cruise about a year and half ago. I wonder if something has chaffed or come loose. Time to pull the tank and the airbox :(

Found that although I am not sure what I'm looking at. Manual says the code will show after the engine is shut down but the key is still on. Showed 59. TPS

I think I figured it out...Accelerator position sensor when tested shows no change in resistance.

Update on the S10....

Its not the TPS or Accelerator sensor. I humbly have to admit I read the test wrong and when I understood what it said the part is fine...

That being said....I found the issue or at least I know roughly the cause. Its the MC Cruise aftermarket Cruise Control. Its either the wiring harness or the CPU itself. It uses the AS. I swapped it all back to factory and the bike ran fine. Put it back with the CPU for the CC disconnected and the bike wouldn't even start. Plugged it back in and it runs fine now....Haven't road tested it with it all back together. So either I had/have a bad connection or an intermittent issue with the CC CPU. I have an email to MC Cruise to see if they have any suggestions. It could have simply been a loose connection. May see if they will send me new harness for the AS....
