Stuck in T - can’t switch to S

Hi there, thanks in advance for reading.
I am stuck in T. Can’t switch to Sport mode. ST 1200 2016 anniversary. Not flashed. Always worked fine. Tried in N, proactively no throttle. Really weird, appreciate the help.

We fixed a friend of mines bike with the same problem by spraying out the mode switch with plastic safe contact cleaner. Also check that you haven’t somehow broken the plastic tab on the back of the switch. This seems to happen from pressing the switch inward instead of sliding it, or if the switch takes some kind of an impact.

Oops, I have always pressed the switch, not slide. I didn’t know it could slide. I’ll have to check this out.
